    The TERRA-JET DJ 13 is one of the most powerful HDD machine in the 6-8 tonnes class. It is more powerful, more productive and faster than its previous model.
    With the HDD drill rig TERRA-JET DJ 13 you can drill up to 100 m (330 ft) and backream up to ø 300 mm.

    The HATZ Diesel engine has a power of 55.4 kW (75 HP). Such engines usually are used in HDD machines of the 8-10 tonnes class.

    Due to its high power the engine rotates with 2'300 rpm. This reduces the noise and the Diesel consumption. This HATZ Diesel engine fulfils the newest Stage 5 norms. No AdBlue required.

Made for productivity - highest drilling volume

    The high-pressure FMC pump is on board. With an increased drilling volume of 95 ltr/min (25 gpm) contractors can face various challenging ground conditions. Optionally TERRA offers an industry-leading mud pump with even 160 ltr/min (45 gpm) of drilling volume.

High quality drill rods

    The drill rods of the TERRA-JET DJ 13 are 2.0 meters long which means less drill rod changing and faster operation. With a bending radius of 28 m you can easily steer around existing pipes in the ground. The magazine is equipped with 70 m of drill rods.

Small and compact

    With its compact design and increased movability the DJ 13 can drive through a 1.30 m wide entrance. The machine is steered by a remote control, fast and safely.

Oscillating Drill Ramp

    TERRA has developed a new oscillating drill ramp. It has two rotation points with two cylinders. With this unique system, the drill ramp can move from 18% up to 40% (10° - 22°). The rubber crawler stays at the ground up to 36% for a good stability.

Double cylinder drive („DIRECT RAM“) - free of losses

    THRUST and BACKREAMING of the driving saddle happens by a direct double cylinder drive („DIRECT RAM“). This is free of losses, robust and powerful. This new idea from TERRA allows maximum drilling and backreaming forces. Even at slow speeds, even with a short drilling ramp. The double cylinder operates in both directions with 60 kN (6 tons, 13,000 lbs). In the quick gear the driving saddle reaches 40 m/min (120 ft/min).

    The driving saddle is supported by roles on top, at the bottom and sidewise.

Optimized drilling assistant systems

    Intelligent drilling assistant systems like the thrust mode, carve mode, the ADBSe or the drill speed control make the drilling more efficient and more easy. The operator can relax, the machine does the work. The electronical CLP control manages all drilling assistant systems and feels the underground. Like this the machine operates at highest productivity.


    The DJ 13 is equipped with the following drilling assistant systems:


  1. Thrust control, to adjust thrust, pullback force and speed
  2. Speed control, drilling at the push of a button
  3. Carve mode, for hard ground conditions
  4. ADBSe, autmoatic adjustment of speed and torque
  5. Electro-hydraulic greasing system
  6. Automatic break apart system

Hydraulic anchoring and greasing system

    The hydraulic anchoring system works with two independent pillars. The anchoring system has hard-metal teeth. They even drill through asphalt and gravel. Each pillar can be adjusted individually in any angle. If there are pipes in the ground, the anchoring system can even be adjusted sidewise.

    Even this small HDD machine has a hydraulic greasing system. It consists of an 8 kg (17.6 lbs) greasing barrel. The grease is a special cooper grease.
