Powerful and durable

    The TERRA-EXTRACTOR X 1000 is one of the most powerful Rod Bursters for the replacement of old pipes ø 100-600 mm (4” – 24”) from cast iron, steel, clay ware or PE/PVC. With a maximum pulling force of 100 tonnes at 250 bar, new HDPE pipes up to ø 600 mm can be replaced. Smaller pipes can be replaced over lengths up to 200 m. The operation speed is 96 m/h. Powered by a 142 HP strong JOHN DEERE engine, it fulfills the newest environmental emission norms Tier 4 interim (Euro 3B).

Fully automatic rod burster

    The rod burster is equipped with a PLC control. The pipe pulling works fully automatic by a push of a button. Several sensors as well as an operational friendly control panel make it easy for the operator to work with the machine. The X 1000 has a rod screw assistant and handy rods.

Front box with front plate

    The front box initiates the 100 tonnes pulling force into the ground. All bursting tools can easily be disassembled in the front box after the bursting job.

Operational friendly remote control

    The portable remote control with colour display makes it easy to operate the machine. The pulling procedure happens fully automatic by a push of a button or manually by a user friendly joystick and switches. Pressure, pulling force and sensors are shown on the colour display at any time.

Pressure sensors

    Several sensors monitor the pulling procedure and the clamping forces. The sensor plates allow the measuring of the position of the rods and the clamping jaws.

Rod screw assistant

    During the pushing and pulling procedure the rods are fully automatic screwed together. A special developed lever system with pressure rolls helps to screw the rods together. This makes operating even more easily.

Counter clamp

    The counter clamp consists of a mechanical click system. It holds the rods when the clamps are open and prevents that the rods can fall backwards during the pulling procedure.

Main clamp

    The main clamp consists of two hydraulic clamping jaws. They guarantee a secure and reliable contact to the rods.

Roller block

    The clamping unit moves gently along the frame. The rolls can easily be changed. They are service friendly and reliable.

Power Pack

    The X 1000 is equipped with a proven JOHN DEERE engine with 142 HP. The power pack offers two independent circuits. One for thrust, the other one for clamping, quick gear and the screw assistant.

    The power pack can easily be lifted with a mini-excavator on the yellow lifting devices or by using a forklift.

    Large oil cooler with 32 kW cooling capacity, allows even tropical and desert operations.
